There have been exciting new developments with our range of Shark Shield™ protection units for surfers. The Shark Shield™ Freedom unit is still available and suitable for use with any wet suit, light rash vest or even bathers. The Freedom units offer personal protection across a range of marine aquatic activities and should be highly considered because of this flexibility.

The Freedom 4 has a dry weight of 1.4kg and an in water weight of only 300g The displaced weight on the lower leg does not hinder paddling and after a minute or so you simply forget it is there.

A SharkShield™ leg rope can be purchased along with the unit for surfing use. One end of the leg rope attaches approximately half way along the antenna, with the other end attaching to the surfboard. This replaces the surfer's usual leg rope.
