What is a Preferred Supplier?
As well as our web directory, site-builder and multi-level compensation plan, there is an extra facility provided by Swiftpages.com for some special businesses.
This is when some members decide to become a "Preferred Supplier". In such a case, preferred suppliers negotiate an arrangement with Swiftpages.com whereby they offer their products or services to Swiftpages.com members at a discounted price (generally 10% to 20%). As well, they offer a reasonable percentage of the retail price to Swiftpages.com so that Swiftpages.com can pay upline members for recommending the preferred supplier to their downline.
Real World Example
So the situation maybe something like the following example:
Let's say that someone wants to sell some books:
Let's assume that they sell the books for 100% retail and their profit is 60%.
- They offer 20% discount to Swiftpages.com members.
- They pay Swiftpages.com 30% on each sale and Swiftpages.com pays that income back to respective members as per the compensation plan.
- The supplier makes 10% profit but they increase their sales volume because of the world wide word of mouth recommendations from Swiftpages.com distributors.
Benefits
Here is the logic of why you might like to be a preferred supplier:
- You attract members to buy because they can get the product or service cheaper than if they bought it direct from you - so the members are happy and are induced to buy from you in preference to other suppliers who are not offering a discount.
- The members' upline continually recommend to their downline that they buy from you because they get commissions from Swiftpages.com and therefore it is good for their business income. This means that all Swiftpages.com members will be happy and eager to promote the suppliers' products because there is a financial incentive for them to do so. This creates a massive and constant marketing source.
- As a supplier, you make much less profit, but you do no marketing or advertising because Swiftpages.com members do that for you.
So everyone wins.
Obviously for this to occur, you as a supplier, must have a good profit margin and this is not always the case. Some times however, there are "big ticket" items (like cars) that might have a very good profit margin in cash terms but not in percentage terms. In these cases, Swiftpages.com is prepared to negotiate individual terms and conditions with each separate supplier. However, if you do have a generous profit margin, and you would like to expand your product volume flow by increasing your customer base at little or no risk or cost, then Swiftpages.com recommends that you seriously consider becoming a Preferred Supplier.
At the very least, we suggest that you contact us about it on: preferredsupplier@swiftpages.com and discuss the possibility with staff at Swiftpages.com.
